Orphan Block Project

Most quilters have them - the little 'strays' we picked up along the way - 'Orphan Blocks'. They come from many places; you might have lost count and made too many for another project, or a block you made wasn't 'perfect' and got set aside. Maybe the color wasn't right or perhaps it was a litter of strays you couldn't resist adopting from a thrift store or 'free table' at your guild. Whatever their origins, they deserve a forever home. In this design class you will create a lovely sampler using ‘orphan’ blocks (No Orphans? You can make blocks of your choice specifically for this quilt in any size or pattern you choose). You will draft a layout on graph paper incorporating frames, panels, fields and borders of other fabrics to set your blocks in.  Skill level: Confident beginner (with good basic sewing skills) and up. Class supply list is here.
