Curved Piecing
Description: This is an intermediate level technique class that will take the mystery and math out of curved piecing. In this class we will construct a Drunkards path quilt block and a Full Circle Donut block and teach you how to make these elements in sizes as small as 3” diameter circles all the way up to 15 inches. We will demonstrate traditional and alternate methods of creating the drunkards path. We will also explore layout variations as a group.
Required Supplies
•28mm Rotary cutter with a sharp blade
• Creative Grids Circle Saavy Ruler
• Sharp Snips/Thread Trimming scissors
Optional Supplies
• Fabric Glue Pen (Highly recommended)
• Square Straight edge ruler with ¼ “ marks (~ 6.5” up to 12")
• Best Press or light starch

Notes: This class is designed to be a 3-4 hour class for experienced quilters and we will need every minute possible to get through the cutting, piecing, and pressing of each block we will make. To help ensure your success in this course, it will be important for you to bring pre-cut blocks and to have your own ruler and small rotary cutter.
