Iris Pathways

This class will provide guidance to make an elegant Iris Pathway quilt from the pattern by the same name published by Story Quilts. The quilt features a paved path with stepping stones, bordered on each side with graceful Japanese Iris. The techniques include piecing for the paved path and applique for the iris and stepping stones. The applique can be fused, raw-edged by machine, or stitched by hand as you prefer, or mix techniques if you wish for the different applique elements; the stepping stones in particular, can be made slightly dimensional with faced applique.
